Vintage train models are being produced for hobbyists and film producers starting with the Mercury Train that once ran between Cleveland and Detroit in the mid 1930’s streamline era. This is the model of one of their passenger trucks including the clasp brake system as modeled from New York Central engineering drawings. This model, using well integrated assembly techniques, allows for complex movement of the swing bolster and springs that can be used for demonstration animations. Similar videos can be made showing the workings of the clasp brake system. A complete train will be available soon.
